Over these many, many years of walking the Sacajawea journey, we have met wonderful people and learned so much along the way.
The script has evolved with ongoing research, formating with my script consultant Kaaren Ochoa, conversations with Lewis & Clark consultants, and especially with the Shoshone people and our liason Leo Ariwite, through his love and support for his ancestor Sacajawea and her story.
It takes like-spirits and hearts to bring any project to life. Personally, I know the story could never have been refined without these like-spirits and hearts. And there are even more experts and visionaries attached to this project who embrace their commitment with determination going forward. It is an enormous undertaking.
But today, we are so grateful that all this attention to detail and endeavor has once again paid off as the Sacajawea, The Windcatcher script is a NOMINEE for BEST FEATURE SCREENPLAY at the Moon Light International Film Festival.
Every moment I am grateful for this team.
