We are just so grateful and thankful to receive this amazing news today, that Sacajawea, The Windcatcher has WON Best Historical/Period Piece Screenplay at the Las Vegas International Film & Screenwriting Festival. What an incredible journey and we are deeply humbled.
Last year and this year we have received a powerful reminder that the spirit of Sacajawea is determined to reach around the world! With WINS and NOMINATIONS from nearly every continent she is bringing awareness to not only her story but also to her focused mission, to draw people together with Love.
The first words of this screenplay were written at the beginning of 2003, and the rough draft was finished in 2007! Since then, she has undergone many revisions, edits, historical clarity, Shoshone accuracy – all to, so far, bring her to the place we are today – with nine Wins, five Nominations and various other placements.
We are grateful and thankful, and we believe that 2025 will present our next steps, to bring this award-winning screenplay to life!
