Every frame of Sacajawea, the Windcatcher is guarded by a world-class Historical Board of Advisors to include award-winning Indigenous and film industry creators including Sacajawea’s own descendant and descendants of the actual Indigenous Nations the Lewis and Clark explorers met on the journey, a legendary frontier wrangler, and dedicated historical stewards who protect the absolute cultural authenticity and accuracy of this important narrative.

Jane L. Fitzpatrick – Executive Producer, Producer, Screenwriter
An award-winning screenwriter & published author, Jane has been a writer for more than 30 years including creative writing, business writing, and blogging. Along with her production companies, Jane is a Founder and the executive director of the 501c3 tax-deductible nonprofit for the Arts, Humanity Shines Organization. She wrote the award-winning feature film screenplay, Sacajawea, The Windcatcher and the family-friendly screenplay Kimama’s Wings. She is also the creator and producer of the new anime TV series for children called Moon Drake, for which she wrote five episodes. All her film & TV projects are Humanity Shines productions.

Leo Ariwite – Associate Producer & Shoshone Consultant ~
Born and raised in Salmon, Idaho, Leo is a member of the Northern Shoshoni, descended from the band of Sacajawea and the Wihi’Naite people, historically located in central Idaho, northwestern Wyoming, and southwestern Montana. His ancestors, including Chief Tendoy, were relocated to the Fort Hall Reservation in 1907. Leo serves as the official cultural representative for the production. His foundational endorsement and ongoing guidance ensure the project remains firmly aligned with tribal Sovereignty and ancestral truth..

Jhane Myers – Lead Producer & Native Advisor ~
A Blackfeet/Comanche American Indian, Jhane is an award-winning, acclaimed producer dedicated to preserving Native languages and authentic cultural narratives. A Sundance/Time Warner Storyteller Fellow and Producer Fellow, her elite Hollywood advising, linguistics, and production credits include The Lone Ranger, Magnificent 7, Apocalypto, Monsters of God, Dreaming Arizona, 1883, However Wide the Sky: Places of Power, Artbound, A Thousand Voices, Free Leonard Peltier, Wind River, Prey, and more.

Susan K. Funk – Producer, Casting, & Native Advisor ~
Hailing from the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of the Flathead Reservation, Susan brings over 30 years of diverse, hands-on production expertise. Having climbed the ranks from casting director to production manager, her extensive studio credits include cinematic staples such as Men of Honor, The Postman, Bandits, Under Suspicion, Something Like Summer, Deet n’ Bax Save the World, The Dark Place, Cabin Fever, and more.
